Welcome!

Afternoon Trail.jpg

Let’s face it: this path we travel in life can be noisy, crowded, and overwhelming.  At times, this path seems more like an obstacle course—one filled with legitimate obligations, unexpected heartbreak and unnecessary distractions peppered with a heavy dose of other people’s strong opinions—all of which work hard to knock us off course.  After awhile, we lose sight of where we were headed.  We start to forget about our goals, our dreams and the very things that make our heart sing from somewhere down deep.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to spend my time here wandering around lost, disconnected from my dreams and the things that tug at my soul.  I want to spend that time with the people I am meant to be with, doing the things I am meant to be doing in a way that only I can.

My point is that I’m not here to offer chia seed pudding recipes or tell you that you need to open your heart chakra.  And I’m not knocking chakras or chia seeds.

But what I’m really interested in is raising the question of how we can learn to be more kind to each other in the limited amount of time we have to share.  I want to challenge myself—and you, too—to practice compassion in this increasingly insensitive and selfish world.  I’m ready to explore ways we can turn down the unrelenting noise of life.  I want to see what rises to the surface when we access the depths of our stillness.  I’m also fascinated with the healing power of nature, and its inexplicable ability to call us home to ourselves.

I want to share some of the things that inspire me deeply and encourage me to do better, with the hope that you remember or rediscover the things that do the same for you.  Because you have a path to walk, just like I do.  My hope is that what is offered here may be of benefit to your journey.
