About BETHANIE PITSKY

Bethanie is a yoga teacher, a writer, and an avid day hiker who feels most at home on a trail in the woods.

Bethanie has been teaching yoga regularly in Northern Virginia since 2012—the same year she completed her teacher training with YogaWorks in New York City, and earned a B.S. in Kinesiology from George Mason University.  She is also trained in Yin yoga, Yoga for Golfers® and Yoga for Healthy Aging; and regularly studies a wide range of current yoga literature.  Drawing upon these various sources of knowledge, she offers a blended style of yoga that incorporates principals of alignment, breath and body awareness into a slower, flowing sequence that is more widely accessible.

Bethanie is deeply inspired by nature and interested in helping others rediscover what is personally renewing in their own lives. Believing that yoga is a personal journey, she is driven to help others feel at home on their yoga mat and comfortable in their own skin.

When not writing, teaching/practicing yoga or leading yoga hikes, Bethanie can be found exploring a new trail with her dog, riding on the back of her husband’s Harley, or using a meal as an excuse to bring good people together around the table.
